Desertstar padded towards a tree, scenting squirrel. As a squirrel hopped down the tree, she caught it and swiftly bit it on the neck. Perfect. she thought, bending down to wolf it down. I was starving.

Willowfeather had been searching for herbs in the area when she heard a quiet mew.Then she saw Desertstar munching on a squirrel."Hey save me some!"She mewed.

Willowfeather led the way to the lake picking up herbs as they went.When they got to the lake she got some shells and stuffed the herbs in them.

Desertstar leaped in the lake, going under for a second. She popped back up. "Try it! It's fun!" she called, paddling back and forth.

Willowfeather hesitated then jumped in after Desertstar.She paddled around and was actually looking quite graceful even though she felt like a dog.

Desertstar dove under and came back up with a big fish. She tossed it on the shore.

Willowfeather saw something in the water that caught her eye.It was small and it sparkled like a star.She dove down to retrieve it and saw it was a twoleg item.It had a golden band and a small gem on top.She picked it up with her jaws and swam to shore.

"Cool! We should put it at the front of the medicine den." Desert mewed. Then she saw a shiny something and dove to get it. It was a gleaming brown... thing that had a picture of a tiny twoleg on it.
